It is designed for the development, research, design and manufacture of new biomedical materials.
The addition of the laboratory equipment at the Gipuzkoa Technological Park (San Sebastian) is an important qualitative leap for Polimerbio, since it has the necessary equipment to be able to manufacture polymers and carry out R&D&I without depending on third parties. In this way, Polimerbio takes another step forward with guarantees and quality in its research and business project.
The new laboratory has been equipped with HPLC-GPC equipment for the analysis, separation and characterization of polymers and different molecular entities with therapeutic capacity. “With this equipment, we will be able to perform an exhaustive quality control of all our products and thus comply with the demanding standards of the sanitary industry.”, Polimerbio explains.
In addition to having the necessary equipment, the new space allows both the administrative and scientific areas of the biotechnology company to work in a resolute, creative and collaborative way in a privileged environment full of natural light.
Although it will carry out most of its work in its own laboratory, Polimerbio will continue to collaborate with UPV/EHU research groups in R&D&I.
